Former model Danielle Lloyd has reportedly fallen victim to a burglary by the same gang that targeted the home of England football star Jack Grealish, according to sources cited by The Sun on Sunday.

Last October, the Celebrity SAS star was preparing for a night out with her partner, Michael O’Neill, and her five children when she received alerts of an intruder at her Birmingham home. Confused by the notification, she opened the mobile app and watched in shock as a gang burst into her residence. Fortunately, Danielle’s home security system promptly notified the authorities about the break-in.

According to sources, the intruders entered through the back door and then immediately rummaged through the couple’s belongings. The source further mentioned that the gang’s approach was highly sophisticated. They were “quick” with precision in targeting high-value items.

Despite police intervention, the brazen gang had fled just moments before officers arrived at the scene. Lloyd reportedly lost several valuables during the break-in, including a bank card, a £100,000 Richard Mille watch, and a £20,000 gold Cartier bracelet.

“She has now been told the gang behind robberies at footballers’ homes, including Grealish, could’ve also raided her house,” a source said in an interview with The Sun on Sunday. “Literally just minutes after they left, the gang pounced and broke in.”

It was revealed that the group had been hiding at the bottom of her garden, prompting concerns that she might have been under surveillance before her evening out, as she rarely leaves the house.

Following the incident, the former wife of Spurs and Wolves star Jamie O’Hara was “deeply shaken” and “traumatised,” prompting her to sell her residence and relocate to a new area. She also implemented additional security measures to safeguard herself and her children.

She only posted limited glimpses of her new residence on Instagram, featuring images such as her recently cleaned sofa. She also shared a snapshot of one of her children’s bedrooms and another of her three kids posing in front of a Christmas tree, when preparing for the holiday season.

Organised burglaries

Grealish, 28, was playing with Manchester City when a break-in occurred at his Cheshire home, where approximately 10 relatives were present. As they heard the sounds of barking dogs and other noises, they activated panic buttons to notify the police. He lost around £1 million worth of watches and jewellery due to the raid.

Following the incident, Grealish purchased two Belgian Malinois dogs to protect his home, located in an area known as the “Golden Triangle.” This area has been targeted multiple times over the last three years by professional gangs originating from Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Peru.

According to sources cited by MailOnline, these crimes are typically orchestrated by “serious organised crime networks” which are often based overseas with extensive intelligence on their targets’ activities. The gangs are also known to offer significant sums to individuals with inside information to facilitate raids.

Investigators are considering a theory that removal workers were followed during the period when Jack was moving into the property. The source noted that there was frequent activity with vehicles coming and going for several days leading up to Jack and his girlfriend obtaining the keys to the new residence. Investigators are now working backward to identify any potential clues from the days leading up to the raid.

Residents in the vicinity or other affluent areas throughout the UK can follow Grealish’s approach by acquiring guard dogs or seeking assistance from security firms such as Marengo. Marengo offers various services to bolster residential security, including identifying vulnerabilities, devising tailored security strategies, and deploying trained personnel for surveillance and protection. These can be complemented by security tools such as panic buttons and intruder alarms.
